Abstract

The finite temperature QCD phase transition has been studied for quite some time, first in the pure gluon sector and more recently with dynamical fermions. In some cases, there has been considerable controversy about the order of the transition. A careful finite size scaling analysis is necessary in such cases. We present finite temperature investigations of QCD with zero, two and four flavors of quarks.
