Abstract
Photonic bandgap waveguide structures have been modeled successfully with a FDTD full-wave, vector Maxwell equation simulator. These nanometer sized waveguides and the extension of these geometries to power splitter (T-junctions) and switches (Y-junctions with a defect) will be described.
