Abstract

First field experiment with mixed line-rate transmission of 100-Gb/s, 450-Gb/s, and 1.15-Tb/s performed over record distance of 3,560 km field fiber with EDFAs only. Results prove increasing capacity and efficiency is possible without sacrificing reach.
