Femtosecond enhancement cavities for high-harmonic generation

Abstract

We demonstrate high-harmonic generation at high repetition rates using a passive enhancement cavity and propose improved cavity geometries. This source provides a frequency comb in the VUV for high-resolution spectroscopy.
