Abstract
A new algorithm for the numerical solution of problems of acoustic scattering by surfaces in three-dimensional space was presented. The proposed algorithm was found to be faster, more accurate, and ran on lower memories than other Fast Fourier transform (FFT) or k-space methods. It was shown that the algorithm could evaluate the personal computer scattering from bodies of acoustical sizes of several hundreds.
