Abstract

A case of Swan-Ganz catheter–induced pulmonary artery injury is discussed. Iatrogenic pulmonary artery injury probably occurs more frequently than is clinically suspected. Pulmonary angiography is urged when hemoptysis occurs in a patient with an indwelling pulmonary artery catheter.
