Abstract

The effect of angiotensin II inhibitor (sar1,gly8 angiotensin II) upon the pig-to-dog (10 pigs to 20 dogs) modified renal xenograft model has been studied. The angiotensin II inhibitor does not prevent hyperacute rejection (HAR). This implies that the vasoconstriction which occurs during the HAR is not related to high levels of angiotensin II.
