Abstract

A solid-solid two-dimensional binary-composite medium constituted of a triangular array of parallel circular steel cylinders in an epoxy matrix is investigated. The acoustic transmission through this medium is measured. The elastic wave propagation perpendicular to the cylinders is studied.
