Abstract

Results In the published article, there was an error in Figures 5 and 6, containing contrast curves for different postprocessing techniques. This only affects the “mJy as −2” axis. To convert from contrast to mJy as −2, there is Jrst a middle step to convert to (ct s −1), after which there is a simple multiplication by 0.1765 (G. Schneider et al. 2014). To convert from contrast to counts, however, we must multiply by the Data Number rate in [ct s −1], which takes the gain into account (2.24E8 [ct s −1]). However, for the numbers in both Jgures, we accidentally multiplied by the “peak pixel” value, which is in [e s −1] (914,424,193 [e s −1]). As a consequence of this, at 1″, we get 2.39 (per the old, incorrect Jgures) instead of 0.59 (quoted in the published article). This is rectified here, and revised versions of Figures 5 and 6 are below. (Figure presented).
