Abstract

MEDICAL SCIENCES, ENGINEERING Correction for “Conformal piezoelectric energy harvesting and storage from motions of the heart, lung, and diaphragm,” by Canan Dagdeviren, Byung Duk Yang, Yewang Su, Phat L. Tran, Pauline Joe, Eric Anderson, Jing Xia, Vijay Doraiswamy, Behrooz Dehdashti, Xue Feng, Bingwei Lu, Robert Poston, Zain Khalpey, Roozbeh Ghaffari, Yonggang Huang, Marvin J. Slepian, and John A. Rogers, which was first published January 21, 2014; 10.1073/ pnas.1317233111 (Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. U.S.A. 111, 1927–1932). The authors note that “SI Appendix, Fig. S11B (second graph in the first row, ovine LV) was mistakenly used for the righthand frame of Fig. 3C (ovine RV), when SI Appendix, Fig. S11A (first graph in the first row, ovine RV) should have been used. The results in Fig. 3D (ovine LV) correspond to a dual recording from the device that produced the data of SI Appendix, Fig. S11B, but without the motion artifact near the middle of the temporal range. In sum, the Top graphs in SI Appendix, Fig. S11 A and B (heart rate of 110 beats/min) of the original paper should replace the graphs in the Right frames of Fig. 3 C and D as representative data captured from an ovine RV and LV, respectively.” The corrected Fig. 3 is below. (Figure Presented).
