Abstract

A clarification for the enumeration of Mars years prior to 1955 is presented, along with a table providing the Julian Dates associated with L_s = 0° for Mars years -183 (beginning of the telescopic study of Mars) to 100. A practical algorithm for computing L_s as a function of the Julian Date is provided. No new science results are presented.
