abstract = "In this paper the energy yield of holographic concentrator systems are compared with and without single axis tracking. Different holographic optical elements are optimized for the two different solar collection methods. The two systems are compared for 2X concentrators. Passive non-tracking optical efficiency is found to be approximately 50% while single axis tracking systems have an optical efficiency of ∼80%.",
