Abstract
The discussion begins where her career, on a national and international basis, began, at Lubbock Lake. That starting point lead to significant broadening of her research, both intellectually and geographically, and was reflected in the work of her collaborators and students: in Paleoindian archaeology; in all other archaeological time periods and traditions on the Southern Plains; in the method and theory of zooarchaeology and Quaternary vertebrate paleontology; work beyond the High Plains; and sustained long-term research programs both on and beyond the Southern Plains.
