Abstract
The effects of CO2 concentration on net photosynthetic rate of Coffea×arabusta Somatic embryos cultured photoautotrophically was studied. The net photosynthetic rate and CO2 compensation point were estimated based on concentration inside the vessel, CO2 concentration outside the vessel, vessel volume, CO2 exchange rate of the medium, and number of air exchanges of the vessels. Results suggested that photoautotrophic growth and development of the semotic embryos would be promoted by maintaining concentration in vessels at 3000 to 5000 mmol.mol-1.
