Abstract

A considerable increase in public recreation demands has led to the development of a twelve mile park along the North Saskatchewan River Valley through central Edmonton, Alberta. The scheme has reclaimed derelict sites, established and restored river banks where necessary, undertaken major landscape development schemes, and provided park facilities of many kinds, and these are described in the article. -S.Shuttleworth
