Abstract
Identifying those factors that contribute to successful conflict resolution is a particularly pressing concern. Multiple environmental and public policy (E&PP) disputes are in the process of litigation, negotiation, legislative consideration, or administrative rulemaking in any given week in the United States. In courtrooms, agency hearings, and corporate conference rooms, multiple stakeholders and regulators (along with their respective attorneys and technical experts) square off and expend considerable time and money.
