Abstract
Doctoral training of engineers has been criticized as a poor grounding for professional practice. The authors' study of Electrical Engineers doctorates reveals support for current dissertation practices and for the doctoral experience in general. This article reports the results for the sample of electrical engineers included in the larger study.
