title = "Direct observation of the biexciton ground state in semiconductor quantum dots",
abstract = "The usual pump-probe experimental approach was modified by adding a third laser beam called the 'saturator' beam. The role of the saturator, with an intensity much larger than that of the pump, was to constantly saturate the lowest-energy exciton transition of the larger dots in the samples. Thus the bleaching of the lowest-energy exciton transition in the larger dots did not hide the induced absorption due to biexciton formation in the smaller dots.",
