Abstract

Caring for kidney disease patients is resource intensive; hence, there is a need for pioneering care models that can refine the proficiency and value of kidney disease care. Digital health is one intervention that can change the domain of kidney care. Since technology is on the rise, various digitalization methods are available for the care of pre-dialysis chronic kidney disease, patients on dialysis, and the management of transplant patients. Artificial intelligence is a fast-growing technology that will dominate digital health in the coming years. Like any other tool, digital health has shortcomings that may limit its use.
