Abstract

The SU2-NonEquilibrium MOdels framework (SU2-NEMO) is an open-source code for modeling high-enthalpy, hypersonic, reacting flows. This manuscript provides an overview of recent development efforts within the SU2-NEMO code, focusing on improvements to its physical and numerical modeling capabilities. These improvements include the incorporation of additional turbulence models, advanced state-to-state thermochemical models, and mesh adaptation. Several current development efforts are summarized in the paper, with the simulation capabilities demonstrated for applications including atmospheric entry, sub-orbital flight applications, and interacting shock flows.
