Development of a light field laparoscope for depth reconstruction

Abstract

Stereoscopy addresses depth perception loss in laparoscopy but encounters multiple design inefficiencies. A light field laparoscope is proposed to more effectively capture depth information. Experimental results demonstrate the feasibility of this technique.
