Depth-resolved backscattering of polarized light from scattering medium: Simulation and experiment

Abstract

Based on Monte Carlo simulation and Mie theory, an efficient algorithm has been developed for depthresolved backscattering of polarized light through turbid medium. A low-coherence reflectometer is used to perform the experiment on tissue phantoms.
