Abstract
Objective: The aim of this review was to evaluate the medical literature in the last 10 years regarding the impact of the use of ICS on children and adolescents growth. Methods: literature review. Results: The use of ICS in childhood asthma in dosages appropriate to its severity does not seem to impair the adult height. Conclusions: The use of ICS in childhood asthma does not seem to impair growth, However, it is prudent to use the lowest possible dose necessary to achieve a good clinical control of asthma, as well as to monitor the growth of any child/adolescent receiving ICS.
