N2 - We measure the conversion efficiencies of six inverters manufactured by Fronius, SMA, and Xantrex. We measure efficiencies ranging from 87.0% to 91.7%. We find differences between manufacturers' specified efficiency and field performance of -3.8% and -6.0% Inverter efficiencies are also studied as a function of global horizontal irradiance and ambient temperature.
