Continuous-Wave 247.5-nm UV Generation via Intracavity Frequency Doubling of Pr:BaY2F8 Laser

Abstract

We report, to best of our knowledge, the first ultraviolet laser at 247.5 nm by intracavity frequency-doubling of a diode-pumped Pr3+-doped BaY2F8 (BYF) laser. Output power of 14 mW in UV was demonstrated.
