Constrained codes for suppression of intrachannel nonlinear effects in high-speed optical transmission

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

The paper compares three novel constrained codes for suppression of intrachannel nonlinear effects in high-speed fiber-optics transmission systems. Significant Q-factor improvement ranging from 5 to 16 dB depending on code rate and number of spans is demonstrated.
