Abstract
The advances made in the computing power of astronomical imaging are discussed. The advances enable adaptive optics technology to mitigate atmospheric and other physical variables, enabling modern telescopes to see farther and with higher resolution. The continuous evolution of the ground based telescope capabilities and their capability to replace space based systems were also discussed.
