title = "Collaborating across telemedicine specialties for improved cancer care",
abstract = "Cancer is a devastating disease that even under the best of clinical circumstances is difficult to deal with. Patients living in rural and medically underserved communities are further disadvantaged due to their geographic isolation and lack of specialty care clinicians providing service in their communities. The problem spans screening opportunities through treatment, follow-up, support and education. Telemedicine can help remove some of these barriers and provide specialty care across the spectrum of clinical specialties, improving cancer-related healthcare for all patients regardless of their location.",
