Abstract

Annual rings formed in the wood of many trees are well established as records of past environments. This volume is based largely on the proceedings of the second international workshop on global dendroclimatology, Norwich, July 1980. Detailed descriptions and evaluations of current field, laboratory, and statistical methods are given. The availability of dendroclimatic data is reviewed in depth, region by region and the prospects for future developments are assessed. Papers are abstracted separately.- L.F.Musk
