Abstract

Coronary artery disease (CAD) results in increased morbidity and mortality. A good indicator of CAD is the presence of angina. The authors provide a comprehensive review of chronic stable angina, which includes a discussion of the pathophysiology, risk factors, diagnosis, and traditional and nontraditional treatment strategies of this condition. Their review shows that many options exist in providing relief of symptoms and improving mortality rates in these patients.
