Abstract

An important factor contributing to the change in rate during the catalytic gasification of coal char is the gradual loss of catalyst. Experimental results on the mechanism and the kinetics of catalyst loss are discussed. A model is presented which includes catalyst loss in the prediction of global gasification rate.
