Abstract
An analytical procedure is extended to obtain expressions to calculate minimum rock bolt force and minimum static acceleration to achieve required factor of safety for the same type of wedge stability. The effects of an obliquely inclined upper slope face, a tension crack behind the slope face, water pressure within the tension crack and on the two supporting planes and any other known external forces can be included in the analysis. -from Authors
