Abstract

The BRDF values of a special, striated gold sample at 10.6 and 118, tm were measured. For 118-μm radiation the values decrease from β - βo = 0.1 to 1 for both orientations, but the vertical orientation of stria always produces a higher value. At 10.6 μm the horizontal orientation produces BRDF values that start at 10-2 at 0.1 and decrease to 5 × 10-4at 1. The vertical orientation generates curves that are considerably higher.
