Abstract
Developing high-fidelity behavioral interventions in healthcare can be notoriously tricky but vital for researchers aiming for full bench-to-bedside translatability. This chapter provides a four-step approach to designing, developing, and testing behavioral interventions. This process involves identifying context-specific problem behavior, defining the mechanistic drivers of problem behavior using theoretical frameworks, collaborating with stakeholders to design interventions that work for them, and evaluating the effectiveness of these interventions in the clinical environments.
