Abstract
Atrial fibrillation is a serious condition that is becoming more prevalent in our aging society. Practice guidelines are currently available for this complex arrhythmic disorder. Providing fundamental evidence-based management strategies to meet performance measures in the new GWTG-AFIB program may assist advanced practice nurses in consistently providing optimal care to elderly patients with AF.
