Abstract
This chapter focuses on the main aspects of citizenship that will be discussed in the volume in relation to Kant’s ethics, philosophy of religion and political philosophy, and provides an introduction to the entire volume. The first section brings to the fore the current theoretical and practical significance of the topic of citizenship. The second section discusses the context, such as it exists for the first book-length study on this topic. The third section presents the unity and structure of the volume and provides an overview of each chapter.
