Abstract

Circulating antibodies reactive with epithelial tissue components have been identified by immunofluorescence in the serum of patients with benign and malignant disease of the prostate. Such antibody activity is of particular interest in view of studies suggesting that cutaneous reactions to an internal malignant condition may antedate the actual identification of a malignant neoplasm possibly leading to earlier diagnosis and therapy.
