Alteration of Case Reports in Running — An Analogue of Anorexia?

To the Editor: In the October issue of Runner's World, one of us (K.L.) was quoted as describing the cases contained in out Journal article “Running — An Analogue of Anorexia?” (Feb. 3, 1983) as “composites.” We wish to clarify this matter. Each of the cases in our article depicts the history, attitude, and behavior of one individual. Alterations are minor and serve only to protect the identity of the persons concerned.
