Abstract

An iterative equalization scheme for suppressing intrachannel- nonlinearities in high-speed optical transmission systems operating at 40Gb/s, based on adaptive-noise-canceller and BCJR equalizer is presented. Supplemented with iterative LDPC decoder it provides the coding gain of 13.4 dB at BER of 10#p-12##p.
