Accurate design and analysis of spherical beam volume holograms for sensing applications

Abstract

We present an accurate model for design and analysis of volume holograms recorded by spherical reference beams. We explain how it can be used for analysis of incoherent Raman signals in bio and environmental sensing. For such applications, conventional models based on paraxial approximations must be replaced by accurate model.
