Abstract

A procedure for measuring picogram quantities of norepinephrine has been developed utilizing partially purified bovine adrenal phenylethanolamine-N-methyl-transferase and 3[H]-S-adenosyl-methionine. The sensitivity of the assay is 25 pg, and the procedure is applicable to many body tissues and fluids, including brain and plasma.
