Abstract

We introduce the applications and technologies of tunable demultiplexers/multiplexers (DeMUX/MUX) in wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) networks. We also propose a novel solution using fixed waveband filters to achieve similar provisioning flexibility and reduced control complexity.
