A new solution for the 1D radiative transfer equation

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

The analytical solution to the discrete radiative transfer equation in a homogeneous atmosphere is derived in a new and consistent form improving upon previous forms. We show exceptional precision for the solution, based on a more appropriate set of complimentary solutions to the homogeneous discrete ordinates equations.
