Abstract

The petroleum ether-EtOH extract of Cupressus goveniana var. abramasiana (Cupressaceae) yielded sugiol (1) and the new diterpene, cupresol (5 β-hydroxy-6-oxasugiol), for which structure 2 was established by spectroscopic and chemical means.
