title = "A new collagen dura substitute for use as an onlay or a suturable graft",
abstract = "A dural substitute template with sufficient in vivo stability to protect the central nervous system while providing a scaffold for new dural tissue regeneration was developed. DualMatrix{\texttrademark} showed negligible adhesion to the underlying cortex at 12 weeks implantation. Membranes were well integrated with native dura at the edges of the defects, allowed ingrowth of cells, provided scaffolds for dura tissue regeneration and allowed complete or nearly complete coverage of the defects. It was found that DuraMatrix{\texttrademark} was the only dura substitute that could be used as an onlay graft without suturing and could also be sutured.",
