Abstract

A large-area Bragg spectrometer recently used to search for the Fe XXV X-ray emission lines in Sco X-1 is described. The instrument employs 3400 cm2 of LiF and has the capability of detecting a narrow line flux from Sco X-1 of approximately 10-2 photons (cm2 s)-1 at 6.7 keV.
