Abstract
A new 4.5-dioxoaporphine alkaloid, 8-methoxyyouregidione, along with artabotrine, ouregidione, liriodenine, oxocrebanine, oxobuxifoline, atherospermidine and lanuginosine have been isolated from Artobotrys zeylanicus. Investigation of Xylopia championii afforded O-methylmoschatoline and dicentrinone.
