abstract = "We present a new design of single-mode Yb-doped fiber for efficient 976 nm lasers. The fiber has 14/45 micron core/cladding diameters. Exploiting of this fiber with a specially designed pump/signal combiner allowed us to realize an all-fiber amplifier with the pump-conversion slope efficiency of 31 % and the output power of 10 W limited only by the available pump power.",
