Abstract
A field experiment was carried out to demonstrate Polarization Mode Dispersion (PMD) compensation using the Principal State Transmission (PST) method. A 10 Gb/s signal was successfully transmitter over 452 km of installed fiber with an average DGD of 60 ps. The system was demonstrated at control speeds up to 0.2.
